We import your patients, meds, allergies and history.
Changing systems is the part everyone dreads. We keep sourced export instructions for 36 systems plus paper and spreadsheets, do the data work, show you the counts before go-live, and keep your old system available read-only until you're comfortable turning it off.
Importers for 36 systems are ready today.
Built in means the importer for your system's export format already exists. Your vendor still has to hand the export over — each entry further down says exactly what to ask for — and we load it.
Direct import — built in
Tebra connects by API, and its patient, appointment and note exports load through ready-made presets. Systems that export C-CDA documents, an ONC EHI export or FHIR R4 Bulk data go straight into a dedicated importer.

Easy switch — export a file, we import it
These systems hand over spreadsheets and PDF chart copies. We map the columns once, and each PDF is matched to the right chart by its filename or a manifest.
On something else? We'll handle it.
Any other system, paper charts or a spreadsheet you kept yourself: we collect what you have and run the migration with hours from your support plan.
- Paper charts / spreadsheets
- Anything not listed
Everything a clinician needs to pick up where the last visit left off.
What arrives depends on what your vendor's export contains. Re-running an import updates what is already there instead of creating duplicates.
- Patients, demographics and emergency contacts
- Insurance coverage
- Medications and allergies
- Problems and diagnoses (ICD-10)
- Immunizations, vitals and lab results
- Past encounters and appointments
- Past notes, read-only and locked
- PDFs and scans matched to each chart
- Practitioners (matched by NPI) and organizations
- C-CDA documents
- EHI export zip
- FHIR files or connection
- Spreadsheet with column mapping
- PDF bundle
- Tebra API connection
- Manual entry
ONC-certified systems must be able to export all of a practice's electronic health information on request. Where a vendor does not publish its export steps, our instructions say so and tell you what to ask their support team for.
Find your current system.
Each entry links to the vendor's own documentation and shows when we last checked it.

A four-week switch, with a check at every step.
Larger agencies and multi-location groups take longer; we agree on dates before anything moves.
- 1Week 1 — Export
You request an export from your current vendor; we tell you exactly what to ask for. The BAA is signed and your workspace exists before any file is uploaded.
- 2Week 2 — Dry run
The whole import runs once as a dry run that is rolled back afterwards. You get the counts — patients, medications, allergies, problems, documents — and a short list of charts that need a person to match.
- 3Week 3 — Verify
After the first real import, your team spot-checks a sample of charts. Anything that does not match is corrected and imported again, which updates the record in place.
- 4Week 4 — Go live
A final export from the old system is imported on top; records already loaded are updated, not duplicated. Then staff training, and your first month of support hours covers the questions that follow.
